Sport Dog
The sport dog is trained to compete in various dog competitions. These competitions can be obedience-related, detection-related, or other activities designed to challenge both handler and dog! There are a wide variety of venues to compete with each venue having its own set of rules and expectations. Typically the nature of the game is precession and speed! Over the decades K9 Development has been involved in many different dog sports, personally competing with dogs as well as helping clients reach high levels of competition. If you have an interest in “Sport Dog” training, give us a call and see what we can do for you!
Private Training:
Sport Dog sessions are typically a 1 hour private lesson but sessions can run over or under depending on the learning goals set for the session and the handlers and dog’s comprehension of that session (we are building a team). We are looking for quality over quantity. This is a customized personal training program designed to work at the speed of you and your dog to obtain specific competition goals.Group Training:
Sport Group classes are open to up to 10-15 handler and dog teams. We work together as a group to reach our specific training goals. Sport Group classes are offered periodically year-round.Board n Train:
Sport Dog Board N Train programs are designed so that we can either establish a proper foundation, fix problems or just tune up your sport dog. From Competitive Obedience to Detection sports if you have a want, odds are we have a way!
