Group Classes
(Puppies 16 wks. to Adult)
PET DOG GROUP CLASSES
Similar to a public school setting. Group Classes are a group of 10-15 owners and dogs, working together to reach their goals.
- Great for working around distractions
- A step-by-step process from Kindergarten to College to help you reach your training goals (Yes, even off leash!)
- Set up to be a more affordable training program
Our group classes are designed with the family pet in mind. Our classes focus on setting a foundation to develop your ideal canine companion.
K9 Elementary - $250
16 weeks and above.
This four-week course is focused on covering the beginning steps to training. Similar to Kindergarten through 8th grade for our children. This class is based on teaching the ABC’s and 123’s of dog training to dogs and handlers. The focus is to teach dogs how to learn, and owners how to communicate what they are wanting from their dogs, with the goal of moving forward to High School.
K9 High - $250
16 weeks and above.
This four-week course is like High School for dogs. Once you have completed the Elementary School level of classes, the High School class is the next step. This is where we work towards setting higher standards and teaching our dogs to be more self-disciplined and responsible for their actions, in preparing them for our everyday adventures in today’s society.
K9 College - $250
16 weeks and above.
This four-week course is like college for dogs. The layout of the class leans more towards an open format to work on specific goals that may not have been covered in Elementary or High School. The class is designed to further the education of the handler and dog as a team and work on advanced obedience, social skills and confidence building.
E-Collar/Off Leash - $250
16 weeks and above.
This four-week course is specifically designed to work on E-Collar use and communication. This class will focus on teaching e-collar use for obedience with the goal of working toward off-leash training, as well as using your e-collar for manners, dog-on-dog, social skills, and critter interactions.

K9 Nose Work Class
K9 Nose work is a dog sport that was created to mimic professional detection dog tasks. It is currently one of the fastest growing dog sports in the world! Nose Work makes a game out of a dog’s favorite activity-Sniffing! This sport is open to all ages, breeds and mixed dogs as well! Whether looking to compete or just for fun this is an activity that will help enhance the dog-human relationship as you learn to work together as a team. This class will focus on teaching you how to develop your dog’s natural scenting abilities by using their desire for food or toys. There are many benefits to this activity from mental enrichment, physical exercise, and confidence building and most of all dogs love it! If you’re curious or just looking for something fun to do with your dog then give us a call and see how we can help you take those first steps into the exciting world of K9 Scent Work!
Basic Nose Work Class - $250
16 weeks and above.
Whether you’re looking to compete or just for fun, this is your starting point! No prior training is required and obedience is not needed. Class is open to all ages and breeds of dogs. In this class we will focus on creating the right state of mind in your dog so they can have the confidence to succeed! Learning is achieved by building in small obtainable steps; catered to each individual team. We will go over basic learning systems (reward-based) as well as figuring out what are the best motivators (reward systems) for your individual dog. This class will focus on establishing the indication behavior (alert) before we start searching. This is backwards for many “Scent Dog Training Methods” which teach the dog to search first. As your dog progresses we will do an introduction to odor (odor pays) with the goal of creating a strong relationship to target odor. This class is a prerequisite to the Advanced Nose Work Class.
Advanced: K9 Scent/Nose Work - $250
16 weeks and above.
This is a continuation of the Basic Nose Work Class. We will use the same principles learned in the Basic class to further build our teams into Hunters! This class is for dogs who have a trained indication (alert) and have been imprinted on odor (odor pays). We will focus on both independent searching as well as cooperative handler leash skills. We will cover handling and storing target odors, search strategy, scent behavior, and Trial Preparation. In this class, we will work on searching containers, interiors, exteriors as well as vehicles (search environments and criteria will be based on the individual team’s ability). As teams progress we will address elevated hides and distractions. The goal of this class is to challenge and build our teams. Whether you’re looking to compete or just for fun this class will cover that which you seek!
